Jim White told talkSPORT on Wednesday morning that West Ham’s rumoured takeover offer of ‘over £400 million’ has come from ‘property people’.
The well-known journalist shared inside details of that offer and said there was ‘no proof of funds’.
West Ham are owned by David Sullivan and David Gold, who aren’t exactly Mr Popular and Mr Popular 2 in East London.
But following these takeover rumours, White shared what he knows about the situation.
“What we do know is that there has been a verbal offer for the football club of over £400 million,” said White.
“But what I can also tell you this morning that in that offer, I am told, an offer from property people and not football people.
“There was no proof of funds. And there was no mention of money to buy players. Nonetheless, there was an offer.”

This will be music to the ears of the West Ham supporters because they haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye with those running their ship in recent years.
Plus, the Hammers cannot be in a more healthy situation given that they will be on a European tour next season.
Not forgetting the quality they have within the squad, from rising star Declan Rice to one of the Premier League’s underrated talents in Vladimir Coufal.
This would be the ideal team for the Hammers co-owners to step aside, but like always the right offer has to be put on the table and from the right people.
