Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Daily Mail revealed that Crystal Palace had enquired about Ozan Kabak.

What’s the story?

Well, Liverpool fans will know all about the 21-year-old, after he helped the Reds finish third in the Premier League last season.

Kabak arrived at Anfield in January on a six-month loan deal.

The 12-cap Turkey international made nine Premier League appearances, and gave a good account of himself on Merseyside.

However, Jürgen Klopp decided not to activate the club’s £18m option to sign Kabak permanently.

The Reds even rejected the chance to sign the centre-back for just £8.5m, with Schalke 04 desperate for money following their relegation.

Now, Klopp could be facing Kabak next year, if Crystal Palace are successful in their pursuit.

In our view, Michael Edwards missed an opportunity to do what he does best after Liverpool rejected the chance to sign Kabak for just £8.5m.

Yes, Klopp doesn’t need him, as he already has Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Nat Phillips.

However, Liverpool definitely should’ve signed Kabak for £8.5m before finding a loan move for him.

It must be remembered that he’s only 21, and already has plenty of Champions League experience, and also has 12 caps for Turkey.

Kabak also has 55 Bundesliga appearances under his belt.

Should he enjoy an impressive season in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, his price could easily double, or even triple.

Liverpool could’ve made a healthy profit had they taken up Schalke 04 on their offer and loaned him out, but that ship has sailed.

For now, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to Crystal Palace’s enquiry for Kabak…
