Arsenal need to find a number 10 this summer, and new rumours suggest they have a plan in mind to sign Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.
Mesut Özil left in January and Martin Odegaard’s loan spell from Real Madrid is now over, meaning Mikel Arteta needs another creative option.
A host of names have been linked, but new reports are suggesting that Edu has a plan in mind to bring Maddison to North London this summer.
The Daily Mail report that Arsenal think they can convince Leicester to sell, even if £50million wouldn’t be enough to strike a deal right now.
Instead, Edu is plotting to offer a part-exchange deal, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson both walked up as potential makeweights.
Neither player is likely to play much for Arsenal this coming season, and Edu is seemingly prepared to offer the duo to Leicester in order to land Maddison.

It remains to be seen just what Leicester think about that idea, but Gunners fans seem pretty excited by the prospect of such a move.
Some really like Edu’s idea of a swap deal, and feel that it would actually be good for all parties.
Others are now asking Arsenal to get it done as soon as possible, believing this is their golden chance to sign Maddison.
