Dharmesh Sheth has claimed on Sky Sports News that Arsenal have made it clear to Sheffield United that they want to sign Aaron Ramsdale.
The Sky Sports journalist has said that Arsenal have made contact with the Blades via intermediaries regarding their interest in Ramsdale.
Sheth has added that there has been no direct contact between Arsenal and the Yorkshire club.
The reporter said on Sky Sports News: “There has not been any direct contact between Arsenal and Sheffield United as far as we’re aware, but there has been initial contact via intermediaries.
“The interest from Arsenal has been made clear to Sheffield United without it being club to club.”

Make a move now
Pre-season training at Arsenal has already started, and it will not be long before the new Premier League campaign kicks off.
Bernd Leno is the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal, and unless the German is sold, that will be the case next season.
However, it is important that the Gunners have a decent back-up.

Emiliano Martinez left for Aston Villa last summer, while Mat Ryan has joined Real Sociedad after spending the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at the Gunners.
What if Leno has a poor run of form or suffers an injury?
Ramsdale would be a very good back-up who could even challenge for the number one spot.
The 23-year-old was a regular in the Premier League for the Blades and was part of the England squad that reached the Euro 2020 final this summer.
If Arsenal are interested in the youngster, then they need to make a bid now.
