The names are translated from English to Japanese as Romaji, consider it easy access for non-Japanese language speakers.

So we have, The main character ‘Arisu’ which when it’s broken down makes sense as ‘Alice’. The Japanese alphabet has no ‘L’ so this would be the closest translation. Then we have ‘Chishiya’ as ‘Cheshire Cat’, ‘Hatter’ as ‘Mad Hatter’ and so on. Showing the writers played true homage to the original fairy tale.
