Natalie Sawyer told talkSPORT on Saturday morning that Celtic fans are ‘very annoyed’ that Kristoffer Ajer could be joining Brentford this summer.
The TV and Radio presenter, who is a Brentford fan, shared that ‘it looks as though a deal has been struck’ for the Celtic man to move to London.
The Telegraph have reported that Ajer is closing in on a £13.5 million move from Celtic to the newly-promoted Premier League side.
And Sawyer shared the reaction of the Celtic supporters to this possible deal and how much of a financial jump her club are making.
“I don’t want to annoy Celtic fans anymore,” said Sawyer.
“They were very annoyed over the last few days that it looks as though a deal has been struck for Ajer to Brentford, which would be a club-record signing for the centre-back.
“The club-record is £13 or whatever million it is. It’s more than our turnover from last season, or something like that or the season before.
“It’s quite incredible the figures are now going to be spent by Brentford and it’s not going to be the only incoming. Interesting.”

It’s understandable why the Celtic fans would be annoyed because Ajer isn’t leaving for one of the big boys in England’s top-flight.
Given that he is fighting for the title in Scotland and playing in Europe, it’s understandable to think the ball-playing defender is better off in their colours.
But the financial package and the chance to play in the Premier League is possibly too good to turn down for Ajer.
