According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur have now made an enquiry into signing Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.
Tottenham are casting their net far and wide in the search of a new centre back, with Fabio Paratici looking to sign two new defenders.
Takehiro Tomiyasu looks close to joining from Bologna, but one of the more interesting links in recent times has been Wolfsburg star Lacroix.
Signed from Sochaux last summer, Lacroix instantly made a huge impact in the Bundesliga and helped Wolfsburg qualify for the Europa League.
Clocked as the fourth-fastest player in the Bundesliga last season, Lacroix has even been likened to Rio Ferdinand on the official Bundesliga website.
That has unsurprisingly made Lacroix a wanted man, and it’s now claimed that Tottenham have firmed up their initial interest by making an enquiry.

That could be to Wolfsburg or to Lacroix’s agent, but Tottenham now seem to be moving forward with a push for the Frenchman.
One thing Tottenham may need to be wary of is Chelsea, as Julien Laurens claims that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of Lacroix.
Moving now may help Tottenham win the race for Lacroix, and you can add him to the list of players Paratici seems very keen on.
