Celtic are interested in signing Fraser Forster from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.
What’s the story?
The Scottish Sun are reporting that Celtic are in talks to bring back Forster from Premier League club Southampton.
The Hoops have opened talks with the Saints over a loan deal for the 33-year-old goalkeeper.
Southampton want Celtic to pay at least half of Forster’s £130,000-a-week salary.
Brilliant signing for Celtic
Forster was on loan at Celtic from Southampton for the 2019-20 season.
And he was superb.
The English goalkeeper helped Celtic win the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup in 2019-20.

Forster was also brilliant for the Hoops in the Scottish League Cup final against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in December 2019.
Neil Lennon, then the manager of Celtic, described the goalkeeper’s performance against Rangers in the final as “world class”, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Forster made a string of saves and also denied Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos from the spot.
Celtic missed Forster last season, as they lost the Scottish Premiership title to bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
The Hoops will be determined to reclaim the crown next season, and Forster could play a big role in that quest.
