Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are less than impressed after it was reported that Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bring both Willy Boly and Daniel Podence to Tottenham.

To be fair, on the surface signing two players from a club that finished 13th last season is rather uninspiring, but perhaps Spurs fans shouldn’t be so judgemental with these two players.

Indeed, Boly has been brilliant for Wolves ever since he signed, leading them to back to back seventh-placed finishes, and one of the main reasons they struggled so much this season was due to his injury problems.

The same goes for Podence, he’s looked fantastic whenever he’s appeared for Wolves, and both players know Nuno Espirito Santo’s system very well.

It’s easy to be drawn into a certain degree of football snobbery, as every fan has eyes on the next blockbuster signing, but Podence and Boly certainly wouldn’t be bad additions in our view.

Unfortunately, Spurs supporters don’t see things in the same way, and they’ve been airing their complaints on social media…
