Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has spoken to the agents of Joey Veerman to convince the midfielder to move to Ibrox, according to The Daily Record.
What’s the story?
Rangers manager Gerrard is reportedly keen on signing Veerman from Heerenveen in the summer transfer window.
The Dutch club want €10 million (£8.58m) as transfer fee for the playmaker.
Ranges boss Gerrard is so determined to bring the 22-year-old Dutch attacking midfielder to Ibrox that he has personally spoken to Veerman’s agents about him.
The Liverpool legend has been tracking the playmaker for months.

Would Joey Veerman make Rangers better?
Veerman is a very good and promising young attacking midfielder who did well last season.
The 22-year-old made 30 starts and one substitute appearance in the Eredivisie for Heerenveen last season.

The Dutch winger scored seven goals and gave 10 assists in those games.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the Heerenveen no.20 scored four goals and gave five assists in 20 league starts.
The Eredivisie is comparable to the Scottish Premiership, and there is a very good chance that Veerman would hit the ground running at Rangers, who won the Scottish Premiership title last season and will be aiming to qualify for the Champions League in 2021-22.
