Lead guitarist, Jeff Labar of glam-metal band ‘Cinderella’ passed away less than 24-hours ago. Fans are now wondering about his family and are tributes are pouring in.
Jeff Labar’s passing was announced earlier today on 15th July 2021. He was well known for being the lead guitarist in the glam metal band, Cinderella, from the years of 1985-2017.
After Labar passed away suddenly, fans are pouring out tributes on social media and are wondering about his life and career, as well as his family and current wife.

- Jeff Labar is survived by his wife, named Debinique Salazar, along with his son from his first marriage, Sebastian.
Debinique remains a private person but can be found on Instagram, the two have reportedly been together for over 15 years and have a cat together named Loki. On 25th January 2016, he posted a picture of the two celebrating their 10 year anniversary together.
Before his passing Labar admitted to having a substance abuse problem, which is what caused a rift in his relationships with fellow bandmates but it is not known if this was the cause of his death at this time.
He was reportedly found by his first wife Gaile LaBar-Bernhardt at his loft in Nashville after she went to check on him as friends and family were unable to reach him over the course of a few days. News had later reached his son who announced his fathers passing on Instagram in the early hours of 15th July 2021. He passed away just hours before on 14th July 2021.
The post says “So i just got the call… -my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop”. Since news of his passing, tributes have been pouring out (below). Labar was 58 at the time of his passing.
Jeff Labar personal life and career
Jeffrey Philip LaBar was born on 18th March 1963 in Darby, Pennsylvania, United States. Labar has a son named Sebastian that he had with his first wife Gaile.
in 1982 ‘Cinderella’ had formed with members, Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham. Jeff Labar and Fred Coury joined a few years later. Labar replaced original guitarist Michael Schermick.
In 2014 he had launched a solo career but continued to tour with Cindarella until 2010, the band would still have sporadic shows but at that time they were far and few between. In 2017, the bandmates announced there would be no reunion.

Labar’s former bandmates Keifer, Brittingham and Coury issued a statement following news of his passing, saying “Heavy hearts cannot begin to describe the feeling of losing our brother Jeff – We’re sending his wife Debinique, his son Sebastian, family, and friends our deepest condolences”.
