King LeBron James has made headlines on more than one occasion when it comes to defending his son, Bronny. Just this week his wife posted a video showing him getting heated just watching one of Bronny’s games.
LeBron has recently been promoting his 2021 movie ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ and attending his son’s games between playing for the L.A. Lakers, so it was surprising for fans to see him in a natural setting at home and let off some steam.
The video went viral as, just one week prior, LeBron was seen at his son’s game at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School. Where he reportedly upset a PA announcer over comments made.
LeBron James gets heated over Bronny James’ game on TV!
- LeBron James wife, Savannah Brinson, posted an Instagram story showing her husband engulfed in their son Bronny Jr’s basketball game.
The story is no longer on her Instagram but can be seen here. In the video, LeBron is engulfed in his son’s game, he begins ‘coaching’ from home and is upset when they call a foul.
His wife captioned the video “Coach James in full effect” and when he drops the f-word she starts chuckling. Bronny was playing a home game in L.A. with his team ‘Strive for Greatness’.
What we know about Bronny James Personal life…
LeBron Raymone “Bronny” James was born on 6th October 2004 in Cleaveland, Ohio. He has a brother named Bryce Maximus and a sister named Zhuri Nova.
From a young age, he has been into basketball and by 2014 he was shown in a basketball highlight reel. By the time he had reached high school at Sierra Canyon, he was already recognised for his games by star recruiters.
In June 2021, he became the youngest in his family to be shown on the cover of Sports Illustrated. His father had been on the previously been cover at the age of 17.
Bronny plays as a point guard and shooting guard. He has multiple schools interested in him which are Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina and UCLA. However, Kentucky is the only so far to have made a scholarship offer. James is set to graduate in 2023.
Will LeBron and Bronny ever play together?
It’s possible the two will play together before LeBron retires, though the average age for basketball retirees is their late 20s or early 30s. However, in some instances such as John Stockman or Charles Jones, the players can stay on for longer.
As it stands, LeBron is under contract with the Lakers through 2022-2023, with his son graduating in the same year. LeBron has admitted to CBS that he wishes to play basketball with his son and says “That’s definitely one of my goals, but that’s a long-term goal”. For now, fans will have to wait to see what NBA regulations say in 2023.
