According to The Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp is a real admirer of Leicester City star Youri Tielemans – but Liverpool don’t think they can get him this summer.
The Reds have lost Georginio Wijnaldum this summer, allowing him to leave on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Klopp could use Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita in a bigger role this coming season, but fans are hoping for a new signing.
Tielemans is one player heavily linked, and it’s understood that Klopp really likes the Belgian and would like to bring him to Anfield.
However, Liverpool think that Tielemans would cost a ‘huge’ transfer fee this summer – a price the Reds just can’t pay right now.
That’s great for Leicester, as they are in talks to extend Tielemans’ contract, which currently expires in 2023.

If Tielemans had a very real option of heading to Liverpool, Leicester’s hopes of keeping the midfielder would have been dented, but it now looks like he will stay at the King Power Stadium.
Signed from Monaco for £32million in 2019, Tielemans is a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ side and has been branded ‘incredible’ by the ex-Reds boss.
Tielemans, 24, hit nine goals and six assists for the Foxes last season and could bring real quality to Liverpool’s midfield – but it looks like Klopp won’t get his man.
