American Horror Story Season 10 received the green light before Season 8 had ended, and it’s since been approved all the way up to Season 13.
Season 9 was the first chapter without fan-favorites Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, however both actors will be returning this season after the former’s brief affair with Murphy’s other show Ratched.
With the horror of Season 10 just around the corner, let’s dive into everything we know about the upcoming chapter.
Season 10 Title and Release Date
- American Horror Story Season 10, titled ‘Double Feature,’ will air on Wednesday August 25, 2021 on FX.
It was also confirmed that Episode 1 will be available to watch via FX on Hulu the following day.
- Season 10 will aptly air ten episodes, with the first episode titled ‘Cape Fear.’
Season 10 Plot Details
- Murphy confirmed that Double Feature would be split into two “horrifying” stories: One set by the sea and one by the sand.
Fans speculated that Season 10 would involve ‘The Black Fish’ from Provincetown, Massachusetts, after a promotional poster of a fanged mouth was released.
Murphy then posted an image of a tall creature matching the description of the urban legend, which seemed to confirm fans’ theory.
Another theory targeted the alien theme left hanging from Asylum, and a promotional poster for Double Feature also supported this idea by presenting a fanged creature with an alien.
Season 10 Cast
The following series regulars will be making a return in Double Feature:
Season 10 will also introduce Macaulay Culkin to the cast, who will have a “crazy, erotic sex” scene with Kathy Bates’ character, according to Murphy.
Model Kaia Gerber is also on board in an undisclosed role, who will also be undertaking Episode 3 of spinoff American Horror Stories.
