One of the worlds most notorious robbers has recently appeared in a new docuseries and fans are wondering where she is now.
At the age of 21, Heather Tallchief, became one of America’s most well-known criminals, landing herself on the most wanted list, after robbing millions from the Vegas casino strip.
After committing this crime with her partner, Roberto Solis, the two went on the run and were never found, until recently when Tallchief resurfaced…
So, where is she now?
Where is ‘America’s most wanted’, Heather Tallchief now?
- Heather Tallchief, now thought to be around 49 years old, is currently living in America and is working off the $3 million that she owes Loomis, by court order.
Before returning to America, she settled with Solis in Amsterdam, where the two had a son and she worked as a hotel maid. Solis reportedly treated her poorly, so in hopes of a better life for both herself and her son, she turned herself in.
In the Fall of 2005, Tallchief had resurfaced in Las Vegas, where she surrendered herself to the authorities, using a fake passport to enter the U.S. under the name of Donna Eaton, a U.K. resident.
Though Tallchief plead guilty in March 2006, she claims the crimes she committed were a result of Solis hypnotizing her before she went to work each day, which led to a 63-month sentence. She was later released on parole in 2010 and has recently been in docuseries ‘Heist’.
The whereabouts of the money and Solis are currently unknown, though Tallchief doesn’t believe he would be alive today at the age of 75. The intricacies of their heist plan, can be seen in the new Netflix Documentary, where Tallchief opens up about what happened.
What are the case details?
Roberto Solis and Heather Tall Chief met in San Francisco at a bar, at the time she worked as an armoured car driver with Loomis. She would routinely wait in the car after dropping off her partners to do a job, until finishing, when Tallchief would pick them up.
On 1st October 1993, they were at their final stop after collecting money from various venues. The partners had waited for her to picked them up, thinking she was stuck in traffic but instead she had left with millions in tow.
When everyone had realised what happened, they contacted the FBI who found traces of the convicted killer, Roberto Solis’ fingerprints in her apartment. Solis had unsuccessfully attempted robbery of an armoured car, years prior in 1969 and had killed a guard, which led to his arrest. It was once he was paroled and the couple had met that they began planning details of the crime.
They evaded arrest in the following weeks by parking the van in a warehouse that they rented as part of a business front, which the FBI found as well as leading the FBI to a fake address. When in reality the two were nowhere near. On the day of their escape, they had gone to the airport disguised as an elderly couple and flown to Denver. At Denver, they ditched their disguises and entered a limousine, after which, they were never seen again, until 2005, when Tallchief handed herself in.
