According to Le Parisien, Celtic have made an offer for Rennes prodigy Sacha Boey, and there’s a good chance of the deal happening.
What’s the story?
Well, the French news outlet believe Ange Postecoglou’s side have submitted a bid for the 20-year-old.
Boey spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Dijon, who unfortunately finished bottom of Ligue 1.
However, as Le Parisien state, Boey was one of few who could hold his head high, after impressing despite the club’s poor form.
Discussions between Celtic and Rennes are continuing, and Le Parisien believe Rennes aren’t planning to stand in the right-back’s way.
Boey has one year remaining on his contract, and it seems very likely he could be sold.
Sacha Boey silenced Neymar

It goes without saying that Neymar is one of the greatest forwards around.
The £200m man scored 17 goals and provided 11 assists last season, but found it difficult up against Boey back in October.
While Paris Saint-Germain beat Rennes 4-0, Neymar failed to score any of the four goals while playing on the left flank, up against Boey.

It didn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things given the result.
However, to keep a player like Neymar off the scoresheet in an individual battle is mightily impressive from Boey.
Hopefully, Celtic can get this one over the line.
