The much-loved British sitcom has been removed from Netflix UK and viewers are not happy about the decision.

Created and written by John Sullivan, Only Fools and Horses follows David Jason as Derek “Del Boy” Trotter and Nicholas Lyndhurst as his younger brother Rodney Trotter.

The show didn’t immediately hit off with fans when it premiered but it managed to earn consistent ratings over the years, leading to Christmas specials and the spin-off series The Green Green Grass.

Only Fools and Horses was available to watch on Netflix, however, it’s no longer available on the site.

Only Fools and Horses has left Netflix

The British sitcom has left the streaming platform on July 14th, 2021.

Netflix hasn’t come forward with an explanation about the removal but the decision might have been taken due to license issues.

Original series from BBC and Channel 4 are regularly renewed by the platform but that is not always the case with all of them.

Some shows are renewed for another year, while others are removed after their deals come to an end.

What’s On Netflix reports that Only Fools and Horses might have been taken off because the show’s license deal had expired.

Where else can you watch it?

Fans based in the UK can watch Only Fools and Horses on Amazon Prime where seven seasons of the show are currently available.

A whole season starts at the price of £7.49, while one episode is £1.89.

Meanwhile, viewers in the United States can stream nine seasons of the show on Amazon Prime.

The series is included with BritBox for $6.99 a month and you can get a seven-day trial with BritBox.
