According to Il Romanista, West Ham United’s main rivals for Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen were Real Sociedad – but they are now out of the race.
It’s claimed that Roma have optimism that Olsen will go, with mounting interest off the back of his Euro 2020 campaign with Sweden.
The two clubs named in the report were West Ham and Real Sociedad, but the latter now appear to be out of the race.
The La Liga side confirmed the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Mat Ryan on Monday, and with Alex Remiro already at the club, there is no longer a need for them to sign Olsen.
That leaves West Ham in the clear for Olsen with David Moyes seemingly in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer.
Alphonse Areola is another name heavily linked with West Ham, despite the Hammers already having Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph.

Olsen spent last season on loan at Everton, but having spent most of the season as backup for Jordan Pickford, he has left Goodison Park without a permanent move.
A return to the Premier League could be on the cards though, with West Ham seemingly leading the race to sign Olsen this summer.
