Tottenham Hotspur have one player in the Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament – and it’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg rather than Harry Kane.
Heading into the tournament, you could have seen a few Tottenham players pushing for such an accolade.
Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld could have enjoyed great runs withFrance and Belgium respectively, whilst Kane was many people’s tip for the Golden Boot.
In the end though, it’s Hojbjerg who has landed a spot in the Team of the Tournament, as confirmed on UEFA’s website this morning.
In a 4-3-3 formation, it’s Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal behind a back four of Kyle Walker, Leonardo Bonucci, Harry Maguire and Leonardo Spinazzola.
Hojbjerg is in midfield with Jorginho and Pedri, with Raheem Sterling and Federico Chiesa supporting Romelu Lukaku in attack.

Hojbjerg enjoyed a superb tournament for Denmark, stepping up as one of their leaders after the horrendous scenes when Christian Eriksen collapsed against Finland.
The midfielder helped Denmark in their run to the semi-finals, showing exactly why Tottenham fans absolutely love him.
Hojbjerg ranked ninth for balls recovered at Euro 2020 and second for assists with three, and Tottenham will be desperate for him to take this kind of form into the new Premier League season.
