Arsenal wondered Bukayo Saka is receiving major support from all corners – and Paul Pogba has now joined in with a message.
Saka took England’s fifth and final penalty in Sunday’s shootout against Italy, with the Euro 2020 title on the line at Wembley.
Sadly, Saka’s effort was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma, handing Italy the crown after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.
Marcus Rashford and Jason Sancho also failed to score from the spot, and the trio have sadly received ridiculous abuse online since Sunday night.
Saka should be applauded, not criticised; he showed incredible courage to step up and take such an important spot kick, a moment that many 19-year-old players would have ducked away from.
That isn’t Saka though. He’s taken everything in his stride; becoming an Arsenal first-team player, becoming the Gunners’ big hope, starting a Euro 2020 knockout game against Germany.
Hopefully Saka takes this experience and comes back stronger for it. England need players like Saka, the Premier League needs players like Saka, and with a huge future ahead of him, he should be supported rather than slated.

Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is no stranger to criticism, some of which you can understand and others that are totally unacceptable.
Pogba has taken to Instagram to send a message to Saka, Rashford and Sancho, stating that he is proud of all of them after showing the courage to step up from the spot on Sunday.
Pogba wants all three players to hold their heads high and keep fighting racism, branding them ‘examples of this beautiful game’.
