Jose Sa will say goodbye to his Olympiacos teammates today as the keeper closes in on a move to Premier League outfit Wolves, as reported by SDNA.
With Rui Patricio about to put pen to paper at Italian giants Roma, Wolverhampton Wanderers have wasted little time finding a replacement for one of England’s most reliable shot-stoppers.
Sa, another Jorge Mendes client, is on the verge of completing a £9 million move to Molineux, with Greek publication Gazzetta last week reporting the deal is in the “final straight”.
A reliable, 6ft 4in shot-stopper who commands his penalty area with confidence and authority, 28-year-old Sa looks perfectly suited to life in the Premier League too.
And he will arrive with a mightily impressive CV, having lifted silverware at Porto and Olympiacos.
Will Jose Sa become a Wolves man this week?
Sa will now look to make a name for himself in England too, with SDNA reporting his move to Wolves is about to be rubber-stamped.
Everything is agreed and all that remains is for the giant shot-stopper to say his goodbyes, pack his bags and head to Wolverhampton.
It’s understood today will be Sa’s last at Olympiacos, with the Braga-born stopper expected to bid farewell to his teammates during a visit to the club’s training ground.

What’s more, Olympiacos have already tied up a deal for Sa’s replacement.
Czech Republic international Tomas Vaclik has moved to Piraeus on a free transfer. The former Sevilla ace has done his reputation the world of good during a stand-out Euro 2020 campaign as his side reached the quarter-finals, knocking out an exciting Netherlands side along the way.
“It’s a very important step in my career, I was at Sevilla and now I come to Olympiacos,” Vaclik tells Sportime.
“I look forward to meeting my new team and my new teammates. I have come to Olympiacos, the biggest team in Greece.”
