Everton are interested in signing Kurt Zouma from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.
What’s the story?
90min have reported that Everton are considering signing Zouma from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
New Everton manager Rafael Benitez wants to sign a new centre-back this summer.
The former Liverpool manager has asked his Everton bosses to get him Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
However, France international centre-back Zouma is also under consideration.
Could a transfer happen?
Zouma is not a stranger to Everton.
The 26-year-old – who cost Chelsea £12 million in transfer fees in January 2014, according to BBC Sport – spent the 2018-19 season on loan at the Toffees.
The Frenchman made 29 starts and three substitute appearances for the Merseyside club that season.

In 2020-21, Zouma made 22 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for Chelsea.
The defender also made five appearances in the Champions League.
Zouma is clearly a player of importance at Chelsea, and manager Thomas Tuchel may not be willing to sell him.
Even if Tuchel does not use him in the starting lineup on a regular basis, Zouma is a very good option to have in the squad.
