Some Leeds United fans have praised West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice on Twitter.
They were impressed by how Rice played for England in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, as well as in the competition as a whole.
You can see the tweets below.
Leeds fans obviously enjoyed the performance of Phillips at the European Championship.
After all, the 25-year-old is one of their own and was brilliant.
Phillips, who played in the Premier League for the first time last season, was brilliant alongside Rice in the middle of the park for England at the Euros.
Both are holding midfielders, and they did well in the system that England head coach Gareth Southgate played.
Phillips actually went forward whenever he got the chance, while Rice sat back.
The 25-year-old and the 22-year-old understood each other’s game well.
During the tournament, Phillips made four attempts, gave one assist, made 13 tackles, had a pass accuracy of 87%, made 32 ball recoveries, and covered 83km.
Rice played seven matches, made one attempt, made 10 tackles, made 28 ball recoveries, covered 62.5km, and committed six fouls.
It is very encouraging to see Leeds fans praise Rice.
Club allegiance is a big thing and can be divisive, and it is very heartening to see Leeds fans put that aside to praise Rice.
It shows how united fans are now when it comes to supporting England.
The England players appear to have struck a friendship with one another over the past four or so weeks.
They will become rivals next season when club football returns, but they will remain friends forever.
