FIFA 22 has been announced with EA also revealing an Early Access release date as well as other Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses.

The game’s cover star is once again Kylian Mbappe and the focus this time is all about its HyperMotion gameplay technology. The trailer is a blend of live-action footage coupled with gameplay at deliberate angles, but long term fans will know what to expect from the annual franchise.

While the title is available on both last-gen and PS5 and Xbox Series X, FIFA 22 will also be running its Legacy Edition on the Nintendo Switch.

When is the FIFA 22 Early Access release date?

The Early Access release date for FIFA 22 is September 27th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

EA’s Standard Edition comes out four days later on October 1st, so its launch schedule is pretty similar to past instalments. The opportunity to play the game 96-hours before the whole world is the obvious big prize, but there are other pre-order bonuses.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition price and pre-order bonuses

The price for the FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition is £89.99, and it comes with the following pre-order bonuses:

  • FIFA 22 PS4 & FIFA 22 PS5 (Xbox One, Series X)
  • FUT Hero Item
  • 4 Days Early Access
  • FUT Ones to Watch item
  • 4,600 FIFA Points
  • TOTW 1 Player & Mbappé Loan Item
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent

Standard Edition

While there’s lots of rewards for buying the Ultimate package, there’s also plenty of prizes for buying the Standard Edition.

It costs £59.99 on PS4 and £69.99 on PS5, but both versions come with the same additions:

  • TOTW 1 Player
  • Kylian Mbappé Loan Item
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent

Just so you know, there will not be a free upgrade to the next-gen version if you buy FIFA 22 Standard Edition on either PS4 or Xbox One. You can only buy a last and next-gen copy with the Ultimate package, and further bad news is that the impressive HyperMotion is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
