Jamie Carragher praised reported Liverpool target Lorenzo Insigne on Twitter while watching him in action for Italy against England in the Euro 2020 final tonight.
The former Liverpool defender said that Insigne played well for Italy in the final at Wembley tonight.
The Napoli winger started the match and played for 90 minutes before he was taken off ahead of extra time.
The 30-year-old took five shots and one was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 82.3%, took 81 touches, attempted two dribbles, made two interceptions, and put in one cross.
Italian journalist Fabio Santini said this month that Liverpool are interested in signing Insigne from Napoli in the summer transfer window, as quoted in Area Napoli.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
Lorenzo Insigne to Liverpool?
Insigne has one year left on his current contract at Napoli, and he is unlikely to be an expensive buy.
The Italian is at the top of his game at the moment.

Yes, Insigne is 30 now and will not have much re-sale value, but he would be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool.
The Napoli star scores goals, creates chances and is quick.
Insigne scored 19 goals and gave seven assists in Serie A last season.
The Italy international winger scored eight goals and provided six assists in the league in 2019-20.
