Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been previewing Italy vs England, reserving special praise for reported Tottenham target Leonardo Spinazzola.

Spinazzola has lit up Euro 2020 with his lung-busting performances from left-back, and Wright has even gone as far as to label him as Italy’s best player.

What’s been said?

Wright was giving his view on the Italian squad and he said that Spinazzola was their best player.

“We’ve got to move onto Italy. They frighten me because their experience is in a place where I’m feeling like yeah, Bonucci and Chiellini, but they’ve lost their best player for me in Spinazzola unfortunately, but they have got work ethic, technical ability and finishing ability that will cause people problems,” Wright said

Lucky for England

As sad as it is to see any player get injured, England must be counting their lucky stars that they don’t have to play against Spinazzola this Sunday.

The full-back is an incredibly talented player, and Wright calling him Italy’s best is high praise, especially when you consider the fact that the Azzuri have players such as Giorgio Chiellini and Jorginho in their squad.

Spinazzola has been linked to a move to the Premier League this summer, with Spurs reportedly sniffing around, and that would be something of a coup if Tottenham could pull that one off.
