Liverpool defender Ben Davies does not want to join Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic, according to The Mirror.

What’s the report?

The Mirror are reporting that Celtic are interested in signing Davies from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Bournemouth are also keen on the former Preston North End centre-back.

Both Celtic and Bournemouth want to sign the 25-year-old on a season-long loan deal.

However, Davies is not willing to leave Liverpool now.

The defender wants to stay at Anfield and fight for his place in manager Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup.

Celtic snubbed again

The Mirror has claimed that Celtic wanted to sign Davies before the defender joined Liverpool from Preston in the January transfer window.

The Reds reportedly paid Preston an initial £500,000 in transfer fees for the 25-year-old.

The defender has not made a single competitive appearance for Liverpool.

It is going to be extremely tough for the defender to even get into the Reds’ matchday squad next season.

Liverpool signed Ibahima Konate this summer.

Klopp will also have Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams at his disposal.

Davies snubbed Celtic in the last transfer window, and it appears that he is going to do the same this time around as well.
