Now, you can even apply for jobs with TikTok’s. Yes, you heard that right. TikTok has launched a brand new pilot feature called ‘TikTok Resumes’, and it’s just as great as it sounds.
What is ‘TikTok Resumes’?
This week, TikTok launched a pilot programme called ‘TikTok Resumes’ which aims to help Gen Z apply for jobs through TikTok.
On their Newsroom, TikTok said that they want to enhance the use of the platform as a “channel for recruitment” claiming its short, creative videos can be the perfect way to “discover talented candidates and career opportunities”.
“We’re excited to launch ‘TikTok Resumes’ as a pilot program designed to continue expanding and enhancing TikTok as a new channel for recruitment and job discovery,” they added.
How to use ‘TikTok Resumes’
‘TikTok Resumes’ is a pilot programme that’s currently only available in the United States.
The platform has teamed up with specific employers including Chipotle, Target, WWE, Alo Yoga, Shopfy, Contra and more to allow people to send a video resume.
So, if you want to apply for a job with one of these companies, all you have to do is head to the TikTok Resumes website to search for relevant job openings.
Once you’ve found a job you want to apply for, simply tap ‘submit your TikTok resume’ and add your TikTok video link.
Don’t forget to add the hashtag #TikTokResumes in your caption when publishing your video resume to TikTok.
It’s only available until July 31st
As ‘TikTok Resumes’ is just a pilot program, it’s only available for a limited time.
You’ll be able to apply for jobs with TikTok videos until July 31st when the pilot will end.
If it proves to be successful, ‘TikTok Resumes’ will most likely be a new feature that’s rolled out across the world in the future.
