Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Ian McGarry has shared an update on Everton and Arsenal’s interest in Brighton defender Ben White.
Arsenal have been linked with White for a long time at this point, but it’s also been reported that Everton and Chelsea are in for him, with McGarry claiming that the two clubs are playing a waiting game when it comes to White.
What’s been said?
McGarry was speaking about White, and he delivered an update that may not sit too well with Arsenal supporters.
“We have reported extensively on Everton and Chelsea’s interest, who are to our understanding, playing a waiting game to see if Arsenal realise the valuation that Brighton have for their 23-year-old centre-back, and then perhaps they’ll try to gazump Arsenal by offering more money,” McGarry said.

Transfer tussle
This is shaping up to be a bit of a transfer saga isn’t it?
Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton all going for the same player is a recipe for a bit of transfer window drama, and we genuinely can’t see which way this one will go.
On one hand, White may prefer to join Chelsea due to the fact they’re European champions, but on the other hand, Arsenal would offer him more game time, while Everton are certainly rich enough to compete financially with those two clubs.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
