Well, Leeds United have just confirmed their fourth signing of what’s shaping up to be a fine summer.
The Elland Road club have announced on Twitter that they have signed Sean McGurk from Wigan Athletic.
In doing so, McGurk joins Junior Firpo, Jack Harrison and Amari Miller in becoming Leeds players this summer.
He and Miller are likely to go straight into the Whites’ Under-23 side for the time being, with McGurk still being only 18.
Wigan fans, though, aren’t all that happy about it.
Here’s how some Latics supporters are reacting on Twitter:
Risk
It’s a bit of a gamble by McGurk, it has to be said.
With Wigan being a League One club, it goes without saying that his first-team prospects were much better there than they will be in West Yorkshire.
Then again, we’re talking about Leeds United.
These are very exciting times for the Elland Road club, who finished ninth in the Premier League last season on their return to the big time.
And wanting to be part of it is very understandable.
