According to Tutto Atalanta, Tottenham and Everton are thinking about submitting a bid for Atalanta glovesman Pierluigi Gollini.
What’s the story?
Well, yesterday, we covered news from Calciomercato which claimed that Tottenham and Everton were eyeing the 26-year-old.
Now, Tutto Atalanta advance the story by revealing that a bid from both Premier League clubs could soon arrive.
The Italian news outlet add that both Spurs and the Toffees have ‘taken information’ on the 1-cap Italy international.
In our view, that could mean they’ve enquired about him, and have compiled scouting data on Gollini too.
Nevertheless, it sounds like both Premier League sides have done their homework on the Italian, and are ready to bid.
Do Tottenham or Everton need Pierluigi Gollini?

In our view, neither Tottenham or Everton need Gollini.
Spurs have a World Cup winning shot-stopper in Hugo Lloris, who has held the No.1 shirt for many seasons.
Admittedly, he is now 34 and has one year left on his contract.
However, unless it’s 100% certain Lloris won’t renew his deal, Nuno Espírito Santo should stay away from the goalkeeper market this summer.

In Everton’s case, Jordan Pickford has already won the EURO 2020 Golden Glove, which should see him return to Merseyside full of confidence.
If Rafa Benitez welcomed him back to Goodison Park with a serious competitor for his position, it would probably dent that confidence.
With money tight due to COVID-19, it would be foolish to waste precious funds on Gollini, in our view.
