Liverpool fans will have been watching Spain very closely on Tuesday night amid rumours linking them with Barcelona’s Pedri.
Spain were in Euro 2020 semi-final action against Italy, and went behind to Federico Chiesa’s opener before Alvaro Morata equalised, taking the game to extra time and penalties.
Spain ended up losing on spot kicks, meaning Italy head into the final on Sunday – but midfielder Pedri still managed to steal the show.
The Barcelona teenager managed to record a staggering 97% pass completion rate on 67 passes, with two of them directly leading to shots.
Pedri managed 80 touches and is really emerging as Spain’s new midfield metronome following the success of Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
This has been a great tournament for Pedri, and it’s come after The Mirror claimed that Liverpool have contacted his representatives to find out if he’s keen on a move to Anfield.
Pedri has a £70million release clause in his deal, though Barcelona have been attempting to increase that.

Pedri is earning huge plaudits for his performances this summer, and if Liverpool were only thinking about a move in April, they must now be desperate to get the 18-year-old to Merseyside.
Gary Lineker was covering the game for BBC Sport, and he couldn’t resist tweeting about Pedri.
Lineker suggested that Pedri is a ‘superstar in the making’ and already a ‘gorgeous footballer’, and he may well see the youngster more regularly if Liverpool make their move.
