Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Wout Weghorst from Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

What’s the story?

The Express are reporting this morning that Weghorst is a target for Tottenham this summer.

The striker is happy to stay at Wolfsburg, but the German club are open to offers for the Netherlands international.

Moving to the Premier League is appealing to the 28-year-old, who was wanted by Tottenham’s new Technical Performance Director Steve Hitchen last year.

Tottenham remain keen on the 28-year-old.

Wout Weghorst Stats

Weghorst has been on the books of Wolfsburg since 2018 and has established himself as one of the better strikers in the Bundesliga.

The 28-year-old scored 20 goals and gave eight assists in the league last season.

In 2019-20, the Dutchman scored 16 goals and provided three assists in the league.

In 2018-19, Weghorst found the back of the net 17 times and gave seven assists.
