Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to Fabio Paratici’s claims about Harry Kane.
It’s been a tough few weeks for Tottenham’s managing director in his new job, as he was first tasked with bringing in a new manager and now he has to try and keep Kane in North London.
Speaking to Sky in Italy on Sunday evening, Paratici claimed that keeping Kane is ‘our goal as a club’.
The Italian shared how he has watched the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Gonzalo Higuain in the flesh and he cannot wait to see the same with Kane in Tottenham colours.
And given this is Paratici making it publicly clear that Spurs want to keep their star man, it has sparked quite a reaction from the supporters.
It’s music to their ears and it’s what they want to hear after a turbulent few months for the club, which saw them search over two months for Jose Mourinho’s successor.
In the end, the club pushed for Nuno Espirito Santo’s talents, and whilst he isn’t a crowd-pleasing appointment that can persuade Kane to stay, it’s a step forward.
Some Spurs fans have suggested that if those in suits are serious about keeping Kane then they should start backing Nuno in the market.
Rumours have been flying about as to who Tottenham want to sign, but nothing concrete has been able to take place because they haven’t had a fresh face through their doors.
But with Kane still on Euro 2020 duty, this is Spurs’ chance to showcase that they mean serious business heading into the new season.
