Liverpool have raided the Bundesliga once this summer to sign Ibrahima Konate, so what about moving for Kingsley Coman too?

The Reds snapped up Konate from RB Leipzig following months of speculation, but they may not be done shopping in Germany just yet.

Sport1 reported last week that Liverpool have made their first move for Bayern Munich winger Coman by making contact with his representatives.

The 25-year-old has just two years left on his contract and could be sold this summer for the right price.

Coman has remarkably won the title in every season he has been a professional player, enjoying great success with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern.

The French wide man notched five goals and 10 assists in 29 Bundesliga games last season, but still didn’t nail down a starting role with France at Euro 2020.

Liverpool do need to find more attacking quality this summer to help Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, and Coman could be the man for the job.

Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg has now suggested that agent Pini Zahavi is actively talking to Premier League clubs about a deal in light of Liverpool’s interest.

“Zahavi is actively poaching for him in the Premier League and is proactively approaching the clubs,” said Plettenberg.

The report notes that a move to Liverpool could now ‘pick up speed’ because Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho instead of Coman.

Recorded as the third-fastest player at Euro 2020, Coman is now a name to keep a close eye on as Liverpool consider new signings.
