Reported Arsenal and Leeds United target Miguel Gutierrez is considering leaving Real Madrid on loan, according to Defensa Central.

Arsenal and Leeds United interest

The Athletic reported last month interest from Arsenal in Madrid youngster Gutierrez.

The report claimed that the Gunners are closely monitoring the 19-year-old left-back.

TEAMtalk claimed in April that Leeds are looking into the possibility of signing the teenager from Madrid.

Miguel Gutierrez stance

Defensa Central are now reporting that Gutierrez is considering a loan move away from Madrid.

The 19-year-old’s plan is to start pre-season training with Madrid and wait until later in the transfer window to make a final decision.

Gutierrez made three starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid last season.

No Arsenal or Leeds United transfer?

Arsenal and Leeds are not going to wait until the final weeks of the window to sign a left-back.

Given how things are progressing in regard to left-backs at the Gunners and the Whites, it now seems that Gutierrez will not be needed at the Emirates Stadium or Elland Road at all.

The Athletic has reported that Leeds are on the verge of signing left-back Junior Firpo from Barcelona.

The Daily Mail has claimed that Arsenal are set to sign Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
