Leeds United are leading the race for Nahitan Nandez, but there is a catch, according to Centotrentuno.

What’s the story?

Centotrentuno are reporting that Leeds are in pole position for Cagliari midfielder Nandez.

Italian giants Inter Milan also want the 25-year-old.

However, according to the report, Inter have financial problems and are unable to afford the €36 million (£30.90m) transfer fee that Cagliari are demanding.

Leeds are willing to pay it, but, according to the report, the Premier League club need to wait to make an ‘important sale’.

This suggests that for Leeds to bring in the Uruguay international midfielder, they need to sell a player.

Leeds fans need not worry

Centotrentuno do not mention which player Leeds need to sale, but it appears that he is an ‘important’ one.

Should Leeds fans be worried?

Are the Whites going to sell a first-team player to raise the funds to bring in Nandez?

Well, we do not know for sure.

However, Leeds fans should not worry just now.

This report has come from Italian media. Let’s see if the English media back up these claims.

Leeds do not have to sell any of their best players, as they are now in the Premier League and do not have any financial issues.
