Reported Leeds United target and Rangers winger Ryan Kent is injured at the moment, according to The Scottish Sun.
Rangers pre-season training
Pre-season training at Rangers has already started.
Steven Gerrard’s side are getting ready for next season where they will be aiming to defend their Scottish Premiership title.
Rangers will be looking to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League as well.
Leeds United interest
One player who has been missing from training this week is former Liverpool winger Kent.
Now, Kent has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds.
The Scottish Sun reported in April that Leeds are planning to make a bid of £15 million for the 24-year-old.
Head coach Marcelo Bielsa wanted to sign the winger last summer, and the Whites made two bids.
Understandably, until the summer transfer window closes, there will be worries that Kent could leave for Leeds.
Why is Ryan Kent missing?
The winger not training with his Rangers teammates this week will have worried some Ibrox faithful.
However, according to The Scottish Sun, there is nothing to be concerned about.
The report has claimed that the 24-year-old is ‘nursing a niggling injury and is working in the gym as part of his recovery’.
“The club are believed to be relaxed about the situation and an Ibrox source insisted the knock is nothing to be majorly concerned about,” adds the report.
Ryan Kent future
Kent is a key player for Rangers, and manager Gerrard will not want to lose the winger.
The Rangers no.14 scored eight goals and gave seven assists in the Scottish Premiership last season.
Leeds would be a better team with Kent in it, even though they have just made Jack Harrison’s loan deal permanent.
