Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is hoping to follow William Saliba to Marseille in the coming days according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners are looking to finalise a number of signings, but that means some players need to move on in order to make room for additions.
With centre back Ben White and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga are top targets for Arsenal, with players in this positions now expected to leave.
Guendouzi to follow Saliba out of Arsenal?
The Athletic reported on Friday that defender William Saliba would be heading on loan to Marseille, gaining more first-team experience in France whilst clearing the way for White.
Now though, Fabrizio Romano adds that Matteo Guendouzi also wants to join Marseille, and hopes to have the deal done within days.
With Marseille striking a double deal with Roma for Pau Lopez and Cengiz Under, it now looks like they’re going to do the same with Arsenal to sign their two fringe French players.

Guendouzi and Saliba to Marseille; a good move?
It seems strange to send Saliba to France for a third loan spell, having already been with Saint-Etienne and Nice. He is yet to kick a ball in the Premier League, and getting him minutes in England would have been ideal, so this move seems a little odd.
As for Guendouzi, he just spent the last season on loan at Hertha Berlin and is now set to spend another season away from Arsenal, hardly building his value whilst away from Arsenal.
A permanent move to Marseille seems unlikely down the line, so the Gunners are ultimately hoping that he will star in France and impress somebody enough to buy him down the line.
