Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has shared when Nuno Espirito Santo will be able to take his first Tottenham training session.

In accordance with the UK’s coronavirus guidelines, Nuno is having to isolate for a few days before he’s able to start taking training with Spurs, and Gold is led to believe that his first session will be on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

What’s been said?

Gold shared when Nuno will be able to take his first training session.

“He’s currently self-isolating at The Lodge, which if you aren’t aware is the very swanky 5-star hotel at Hotspur Way. He’ll be there until midway through next week. The plan is that the Tottenham players, the non-internationals, will be return on Monday, they’ll go through all of the sports science testing, you see it every year with photos and videos of bleep tests and things like that,” Gold said.

“The plan is that on Tuesday or Wednesday Nuno Espirito Santo will come out of his isolation and he will immediately be able to start work on the pitches with them, it will all work out quite nicely apparently.”

Good timing

As inconvenient as quarantining is and considering that Spurs’ manager hunt went on for over two months, this has been timed quite nicely.

Indeed, Spurs’ non-international players can now do all of their sports science tests when they return on Monday, while Nuno can begin to plan for pre-season with no distractions as he’s forced to stay in his hotel room.

On either or Tuesday or Wednesday, the hard work can begin and the Nuno era can truly begin in north London.
