Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are reportedly about to miss out on Andre Silva, according to Sport Buzzer.
Arsenal interest
Duncan Castles claimed on the Transfer Window Podcast last month that Arsenal are interested in signing Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The well-known and well-respected journalist said that the Gunners have told the Portugal international striker that they want to sign him.
Eintracht are looking for €40 million (£34.38m) as transfer fee.
Manchester City interest
Bild reported last month that Premier League champions City are interested in Silva.
The Citizens are looking at the 25-year-old Portugal international striker as a replacement for Sergio Aguero.
Aguero left City at the end of last season and joined Barcelona on a free transfer.

Missing out
However, it seems that both Arsenal and City will miss out on the 25-year-old striker, described as “phenomenal” by his Portugal international teammate and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo on Bundesliga.com in 2017.
Sport Buzzer are reporting this afternoon that Silva has already passed a medical at RB Leipzig.
The German club could reportedly announce the signing of the 25-year-old striker in the next few hours.
The Frankfurt no.33 scored 28 goals and gave five assists in the Bundesliga last season.
