Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Don Hutchinson has called for a Premier League club to take a chance on Breel Embolo, namely West Ham United.
Switzerland have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament so far getting through a tough group before toppling world champions France in the Round of 16.
Embolo has been impressive for the Swiss, and Hutchinson believes that he’d be perfectly suited to West Ham.
What’s been said?
Hutchinson was asked to name some players he’s been impressed with at Euro 2020 who he feels would be brilliant in the Premier League, and he championed Embolo for a move to West Ham.
“I’m going to chuck one at you. Breel Embolo. He plays for Switzerland and Borussia Monchengladbach and I’ve seen a lot of him over the past few years. He’s a terrific player with loads of speed, as an addition to the Premier League I think he’d be amazing, it would suit him down to the ground. The club I could see him playing for, West Ham United. He’s a younger Michail Antonio and he would complement him really well with all of those number 10s playing behind him,” Hutchinson said.

Great signing
The Hammers certainly need a new striker after selling Sebastien Haller in January, and Embolo would be a great addition.
As Hutchinson says, he’s got loads of speed, and with the Hammers’ creativity going forward he could wreak havoc if he joined.
There’ve been no concrete links to Embolo as of yet, but after the striker’s remarkable Euros you’d have to imagine that at least one Premier League club will have a look at him this summer, and that could be West Ham.
