Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been pictured in action preparing for Coolombia’s Copa America quarter-final clash with Uruguay on Saturday night.
Los Cafeteros take on Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and co in Brasília’s fantastically-named Estádio Nacional de Brasília Mané Garrincha and with only a brief cameo from the bench so far, the Rangers star will be hoping he is given the chance to fire his country into the last four.
Despite a fairly mediocre group stage performance, Colombia now sit 180 minutes from the final but face a tough task when they face Uruguay, who finished second in Group A to Argentina.
Morelos’ only appearance so far was as an 81st-minute substitute as Colombia lost Peru 2-1 with manager Reinaldo Ruedo opting to go with others in attack.
While his teammates at Rangers start pre-season training at the Gers’ training ground in Milngavie, Morelos could add to his 11 caps and one goal for Colombia.
Rangers star will be hoping for a second winner’s medal of 2021
If Colombia can make it to the semis, they’ll face the winner of the Argentina vs Ecuador tie on July 6.

With a Scottish Premiership winner’s medal already tucked away, Rangers fans would love to see Morelos get his hands on a Copa America winner’s medal and take the trophy back to Colombia for the first time since 2001.
That could help bump the Rangers star’s value up a little as an Ibrox exit edges closer for the hugely popular El Bufalo.
