Marcel Sabitzer find himself in demand this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur believed to be in the race.

The RB Leipzig star has just one year left on his deal with the Bundesliga side, and looks set to move on this summer.

There is no shortage of interest in Sabitzer, and with Austria now out of Euro 2020, a move could soon materialise.

Arsenal and Tottenham want Sabitzer

Tottenham have been chasing Sabitzer for a long time now, and The Athletic suggested earlier this month that they’re still keen.

His price tag has crashed to just £12million according to that report, but there is now more interest in his signature.

Bild now add that Tottenham’s bitter rivals Arsenal have joined the race to sign Sabitzer in a cut-price move this summer.

Sabitzer’s stunning Euro 2020 stat

Sabitzer has been playing at Euro 2020 for Austria, and UEFA’s website has a truly stunning statistic about his tournament.

As things stand, Sabitzer has covered more distance than anybody else in the tournament, racking up 48.7km over four games.

You would normally associate N’Golo Kante with this kind of accolade, but he’s down in sixth on 46.2kn – meaning Sabitzer has bettered him by 2.5km.

If either Tottenham or Arsenal were having any doubts about Sabitzer, this should help them make their decision.

Sabitzer is not only relentless and hard-working off the ball, but also has outstanding technique on the ball too, representing an ideal midfield target – especially given his contract situation.
