Well, it looks like Tottenham Hotspur may finally have a new manager.

It has been well over two months since Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham back in April.

And just to put that into context, that was just before the whole European Super League drama, which illustrates just how long it’s been since Spurs have had a permanent head coach.

Ryan Mason stepped up to replace Mourinho on an interim basis, but it seems like Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici have a long-term appointment now.

According to The Telegraph, the North Londoners are ‘set to appoint’ former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

The report claims that Nuno and Tottenham have an agreement in principle.

Underwhelming

Tottenham fans will take him, but only because it has dragged on for so long.

Really, it’s quite an underwhelming appointment when you consider that Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte both looked very much on the cards at one point in the not too distant past, while Erik Ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsmann were heavily linked earlier in the search.

In fact, Ten Hag of Ajax was linked again after talks with Paulo Fonseca broke down a little earlier in June, according to ESPN – and fans of the Lilywhites were excited by that report.

But it’s looking like Nuno for now.
