Celtic look set to step up their recruitment in the coming weeks, and a deal for defender Mario Vuskovic seems likely.
The Bhoys finally have a manager in place at Parkhead as Ange Postecoglou is now in Glasgow and in charge of the club.
He will want new signings in quickly, with defensive options certainly needed if Celtic are to make strides forward after last season’s nightmare.
Vuskovic looks set for Celtic
One of their top targets is Hajduk Split defender Vuskovic, who has emerged as one of the top young talents in Croatia.
Sportske Novosti reported earlier this week that Celtic could have Vuskovic signed up this week in a deal worth around £5million.
That hasn’t happened yet, but the signs are that Vuskovic will end up being a Celtic player in the near future unless something goes wrong.

Biscan raves about Vuskovic
If anybody knows Vuskovic well, it’s Croatia Under-21 boss Igor Biscan, and he has spoken to the Scottish Daily Express (29/06, p59) about the defender.
Biscan has suggested that Vuskovic is an ‘exceptional passer’ of the ball, making him perfect for playing out from the back.
The former Liverpool ace did though add that he is still solid defensively, even if his technical ability is the thing that Biscan loves the most.
“Mario likes to be on the ball,” said Biscan. “He is a modern-day defender. He is good and solid defensively but he also likes to get on the ball and to play from the back. He is an exceptional passer and can build play from the back.”
“He has been a main part of my Croatian Under-21 team and his range of passing has been a big part of our play. He can pass it short to penetrate the lines or he is equally as accurate hitting a longer, more direct diagonal ball if needed. His technique is exceptional for such a young player,” he added.
