Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on Manchester City’s pursuit of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.

It’s no secret that Manchester City are in for both Kane and Grealish, but Romano has provided an update that should act as a boost for both Spurs fans and Aston Villa supporters.

Indeed, it seems as though City will struggle to sign both players this summer.

What’s been said?

Romano says that people around Man City are saying that it would be very difficult to sign both Grealish and Kane in the same window.

“What I can say is that Manchester City have a real strong interest in Jack Grealish, so they want Jack Grealish, but from what I hear around Man City it would be very difficult to sign this summer both Grealish and Harry Kane, so they need to make a decision again after the Euros after Tottenham refused their first bid of £100m, or if they want to try for Jack Grealish with an official bid. They have a strong, strong interest in Grealish, but at this point it’s not agreed or advanced, but City want Grealish and they are preparing something. They will decide between Grealish and Kane and they are two serious targets,” Romano said.

Great news

This may not be what Manchester City fans want to hear, but for the rest of the Premier League this is great news.

The last thing anyone wants to see is one team running away with the league every year, and it’s hard to believe how anyone would be able to compete with City if they signed both Kane and Grealish.

Luckily, it seems as though a double swoop will be tough to pull off.

City now have to decide whether or not they want to go for Kane or Grealish, and that’s an incredibly hard decision to make.
