Speaking on England’s official YouTube channel, Peter Crouch has shared how he’s told Declan Rice to celebrate if he scores against Germany.
Crouch and Rice are two of the most charismatic figures in football right now, and as you can imagine, they’ve planned something hilarious for if Rice scores against Germany.
What’s been said?
Crouch was speaking about celebrations at this summer’s tournament, and he says he’s told Rice to bring back his infamous robot celebraton if he manages to score against Germany.
“I am, I’ve just asked Dec actually to bring the robot back, the 2021 version, I’m expecting more than what I had. I was breaking boundaries in my time, body-popping was incredible, but I’m expecting more from him. I’m joking, I was horrendous, but people loved it,” Crouch said.
“I’ve told him to have a practise and watch me back in 2006. Do you know how excited I’ll be if he bangs one in and does pull it out, I’ll be so happy.”
Could you imagine if Rice actually did this?
This is one of England’s most important games since 1966, and there’s every chance that a winning goal could be celebrated by Rice busting out some robotics.
It would be an image for the ages and it would be so brilliant if Rice was the player to do it.
We know that Rice isn’t averse to a funny celebration every now and then, remember he was the drummer in Jesse Lingard’s air-band after West Ham’s second goal against Tottenham last season.
Fingers crossed we get to see Rice throw a few shapes at Wembley on Tuesday evening.
