Rangers have confirmed their pre-season plans ahead of the Gers’ title defence – with the Light Blues kicking off with a short trip to Firhill to face Partick Thistle in one week’s time.

Steven Gerrard‘s side returned to pre-season training today as preparations get underway ahead of a massive season with the Gers back in the Champions League.

As well as the trip to Firhill, there’s away fixtures at Tranmere Rovers and Blackpool sandwiching the visit of Arsenal to Ibrox.

In addition, there will also be a MyGers-exclusive training session at Ibrox on July 23.

The Gers have also hinted at one final fixture to be added in the coming days, with information to follow later this week.

Rangers’ opening Premiership fixture takes place on July 31 when Livingston head across the M8 for flag day.

While Rangers have announced three away games, fans have been urged not to make travel arrangements as the club seek further guidance on whether supporters will be given the chance to see Steven Gerrard’s stars in action.

There’s also no information yet on whether fans will be allowed into Ibrox but with games across Scotland having allowed fans in to some degree, there will almost certainly be some supporters inside the ground for the Arsenal clash.

Here’s who Rangers will face in pre-season:

Monday July 5 – Partick Thistle (A) 7pm

Saturday July 10 – Tranmere Rovers (A) 12:30pm

Saturday July 17 – Arsenal (H) 2pm

Wednesday July 21 – Blackpool (A) 7pm
