Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that Graham Potter is seemingly holding out for a top-four job.
The Tottenham managerial merry-go-round is currently hovering over Potter’s name, but just like those before him, it seems as though he might not get the gig.
It seems as though Spurs have ditched their plans to snap up the Brighton boss, as reported by the Daily Star.
But it’s also claimed elsewhere that the Englishman doesn’t want the Spurs job and is hoping to land the Manchester City city gig one day.
Tottenham fans, who have been through every emotion during these past few months, are now in utter disbelief at what they are hearing and reading.
They have reminded Potter that he finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table last season with Brighton.
Whilst the Seagulls played the pretty stuff and were easy on the eye.
They lacked that killer instinct in the final third, which just saw them create chance after chance without hitting the back of the net as much as they should.
There’s no doubt that Potter would have loved a Harry Kane in his XI last season and he might get the chance to work with the striker if he moves to North London.
But no one seems to be the wiser as to what will happen next in Tottenham’s quest to find Jose Mourinho replacement.
Not only has it been over two months since Mourinho was sacked, but he’s also found himself a new job in Rome and it won’t be too long before he starts pre-season over in Italy.
Whereas, Spurs are still pulling names from their magic hat.
